Bungie’s Destiny has always been in the highlight when it comes to either Xur selling his exotic gears and weapons every weekend or the weekly update occurring on every Tuesday. But in this year, we will be getting to hear more from the company related to their upcoming sequel to Destiny which will launch sometime in 2017.
We do not know the official name of the sequel yet, but will surely do with time. Bungie has said that major news and reveals on Destiny will not be given out so early and that it will take some time. “We won't be ready for any major reveals, but we'll resume the conversation about the rituals that return to Destiny week over week and month over month. Thank you for joining us for another trip around the sun. We have a year of adventure planned for you”, said Bungie.
Destiny 2 is a hot topic right now for the fans and Bungie since the time it was confirmed in February 2016. It has been reported that the sequel to Destiny will not only be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but also for the PC. This will certainly attract a lot of attention from players who are gaming on all platforms.
"We're on track and really excited for what we think is going to be an awesome sequel for Destiny in 2017. That sequel is designed to both excite our highly engaged current players but also to broaden the appeal even further, bringing in new fans and bringing back lapsed fans," said Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg in November last year. It's nice to know that the company is bringing in more players who have never had a hands-on with the first game before.
Let us know if you are excited about the game as much as we are, and whether you believe it will attract a broad audience.
