Reports and speculation have suggested that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) will launch its next Surface Pro brand before the end of 2017. Although the tech company is yet to reveal any minor details about its next-gen Surface-branded offerings, the future Surface Pro 5 will likely incorporate a variety of new upgrades as compared to its predecessor, the Surface Pro 4.
Firstly, Intel Kaby Lake, which is the latest processing chipset by Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC), is designed to power the Windows maker’s next Surface Pro device. Intel has already confirmed that its chipset is engineered to deliver an overall improved performance as compared to its previous-gen processing chipset, Intel Skylake. Not only is Intel Kaby Lake designed to offer faster processing than Intel Skylake, but the former is also more efficient at conserving energy than its predecessor. Hence, users can be sure of the fact that the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will deliver a faster and more efficient performance as compared to its predecessor.
Secondly, the next Surface Pro iteration is tipped to include a resolution of the 4K display screen, representing another considerable upgrade over its predecessor. Even though the screen on the existing Surface Pro brand is more than decent, its succeeding variant is expected to take things to an entirely different level. Hence, the next Surface Pro could be treated as an instant hit by all those heavy multimedia lovers out there.
Finally, there have been numerous reports which have backed MSFT to incorporate its upcoming Windows 10 Creators Update in the Surface Pro 5. The upcoming Windows 10 operating system will introduce further performance upgrades for the next-gen Surface Pro offering.
